Self-care is something I am extremely passionate about as it pulled me out of a really dark time, taught me to put myself first and gave me permission to begin setting boundaries and saying no.
I always get asked about self-care and ideas so I wanted to share a tonne of suggestions that you could do for self-care this week. Remember everyone is different so just take what feels good for you.
Physical self-care:
Go for a walk.
Have a nap.
Dance around your kitchen.
Drink a glass of water.
Cook yourself a delicious meal.
Moisturise your whole body.
Have a shower or bath.
Buy yourself some flowers.
Emotional/mental self-care:
Cry if you need to.
Journal for 10 mins.
Practice positive affirmations.
Go to therapy.
Take a digital detox.
Unfollow people on social media that make you doubt your worth.
Read a book.
Write a list of all the things you like about yourself.
Spiritual self-care:
Meditate.
Pray.
Ground yourself in nature.
Pull an angel card.
Moon rituals.
Burn incense and cleanse your space.
Reiki healing.
Gratitude list.
Financial self-care:
Get your finances in order.
Get up to date with your bills.
Pay off some debt.
Empty and sort through your purse.
Set a budget.
Start a savings pot.
Read a book about money (I recommend The Latte Factor or Smart Women Finish Rich by David Bach)
Get your pension sorted.
Social self-care:
Call a friend for a chat.
Go for a walk with a friend.
Join a club/community for your hobby.
Write a letter to someone you love.
Have a date night with your partner or friends.
Have a games night with your family.
FaceTime your parents.
Go for dinner with your bestie.
Thank you for reading, I really hope you found this insightful - as always I'd love to hear your feedback if you did. If this was helpful then send me a message on Instagram or via email, I'd love to chat with you!
