Absolutely obsessed with this homemade granola I made the other night. I am a total cereal fiend (I could seriously eat it for every meal of the day), I don't know why but I just always have been! Weetabix is probably one of my faves (I know, bit of an under dog but someone's gotta love it) but I also LOVE a good crunchy granola. BUT supermarket brands are pretty much always absolutely packed with sugar and added ingredients that our bodies just don't need...bad times I know. Panic not! Making your own granola is such a good way to still satisfy your cereal craving whilst keeping it clean! You know exactly what's in it and it still tastes absolutely delicious! Winning! You can play around with ingredients that you like and add any nuts/seeds/dried fruits that are your fave but here is my current favourite recipe below! You're welcome ;)
3 tbsp Clear Honey
1 tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
1 tbsp Coconut Oil
1 tbsp Raw Cacoa Powder
1 tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
1 tbsp Sunflower Seeds
1 tbsp Linseed
1 tbsp Ground Almonds
1 tbsp Flaked Almonds
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
50g Plain Greek Yoghurt
Milk of your choice (I like rice milk)
Fresh Fruit (optional)
1). Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees. Line a big baking tray with baking paper.
2). Mix all ingredients together in a big bowl adding any optional extras you fancy.
3). Spread the granola mix evenly on the baking tray and pop in the over to bake for 10 minutes.
4). After 10 minutes get the tray out and move the mix around so it all gets evenly cooked, put back in for another 10 minutes or until golden in colour.
5). Once golden brown and crunchy remove from the oven and leave to cool. Once cool transfer to an airtight tupperware container.
6.) Serve with plain greek yoghurt and milk of your choice.
